"God is our refuge..."

Psalm 46:1 "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble..." and verse 10..."Be still and know that I am God..."

This rash is "driving me crazy"....it is very difficult to "be still"....I am trying to be calm and know God is near..........

I know that none of this is humorous to you in any way, shape, form or fashion, so how is it then that you can give humor to us! Your saying after Psalms 46:10 "Be still and know that I am God..." that this rash is "driving me crazy"....it is very difficult to "be still" was priceless. It reminds me once again that you are destined to be with us for much longer than you might think sometimes when you are having some of your really bad chemo days. God loves a good sense of humor, and I am of the firm belief that He rewards accordingly.

It was SO wonderful to see you this morning. And I have a question on my mind since you were writing about the time of the ice storm when you cooked breakfast over the wood stove. You said you had oatmeal. Had John learned to make his "gold medal" oatmeal back then? I remember that ice storm so well. We forgot and left the fish in his bowl on the kitchen counter. We were sleeping downstairs, all in one room by the fireplace. The fish got too cold and died. Stevi didn't forgive me for that for years! (-:
Keep your sense of humor, and hang in there. As bad as it sometimes seems, that's how good it's going to get.
    Much love,
Barbara and Alan and the kiddos
